Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PGly (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates www.pgly.in, a platform that helps paying-guest (PG) accommodation owners manage their properties, rooms, tenants and rent collection, and helps tenants discover and manage their PG stay. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number and password (stored as a secure hash) when you create an account.
• Google sign-in data — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We use this only to create and sign you into your PGly account. We do not access your contacts, files or any other Google data.
• Property & tenancy records — information owners enter to run their PGs: property details and location, room and bed configuration, and tenant records (name, phone, email, ID number, addresses, emergency contacts, rent, deposits, charges and payment history).
• Usage information — basic technical data such as device, browser and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and improve it.

3. How we use information

• To provide the service: dashboards, rent tracking, notices, complaints and the public Find PG directory.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To show listed properties publicly on Find PG — only when an owner turns on public listing (tenant records are never public).
• To communicate service updates, and to respond to support requests.
• To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Sharing

Information is shared only: between an owner and the tenants of their property (a tenant sees their own stay, rent and charges; an owner sees the tenant records they created); with service providers that host our infrastructure (e.g. cloud hosting and database providers) under confidentiality obligations; or when required by law.

5. Data retention & deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing madmktgco@gmail.com. Owners are responsible for honouring deletion requests from their tenants for records the owner maintains.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with reputable cloud providers. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard measures.

7. Children

PGly is not directed at children under 18. Owners must ensure they have appropriate consent before entering any tenant’s personal information.
